WORKSHOP_2025

During a residency at Künstlerdorf Schöppingen, a two-day drawing workshop was developed in collaboration with residents of European Homecare Schöppingen. The workshop brought together immigrant children and adults to explore drawing as a tool for reflection, healing, and self-expression.
Within a safe and supportive environment, participants were invited to use drawing as a way of expressing emotions, exploring personal identity, and reflecting on experiences of belonging and transition. The process emphasised open expression rather than technical skill, allowing space for individual stories to emerge through mark-making and visual language.
The workshop created a shared space of connection and exchange, where drawing became a means of communication across languages and backgrounds. It fostered moments of dialogue, care, and collective presence, highlighting the role of artistic practice in supporting emotional and social wellbeing.
