‘Nhweso)’ is an akan word meaning “taking care of something” or “setting example.” Nhweso) is an exhibition that focus on how cargo containers serves as ‘shelter’ for second-hand fabrics and objects (car parts), contributing to the history and memory of second-hand objects that are imported in cargo containers from westen countries to Ghana.
In this exhibition the work (sew geometric fabric) was installed over cargo container which served as ‘shelter’ for second-hand fabric and objects(car parts) imported to Ghana from western country, bringing back the minds of audience to how cargo container which served as ‘shelter’ for imported second-hand fabics at the same time served as connection for Countries is ‘shelted’ and ‘protected’ by the fabrics which was containing it.
